I have a memory like an elephant. In fact, elephants often consult me. (Noel Coward)
In life, you have to make tough decisions. Chocolate chip or mango sorbet ice-cream?
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. (Mark Twain)

Today, I woke up to...
"Amanda! Get out of your bed. Could you sweep the floor?"My whole family forgot it was my birthday today! I seriously thought I had done something wrong and they were mad at me. :S
Only when I told my mum I had to call my uncle to say thank you that she went all hysterical and said "Its Amanda's birthday! Oh! Happy Birthday! Bran! Bran!" And thats how Bran found out too. :P Dad was downstairs so he didn't hear anything. shh. :)
When he eventually came up and found me watching tv, he said..
"Go clean your room. Mum needs help." So I said, "
Happy Birthday dad!"
Silence.
"
Oh!!! Happy Birthday Amanda! Guys, its Amanda's birthday!"
And I replied, "
Yeah, they know."
Sad ain't it? :P
Thank you everyone for the lovely
wishes and
presents. :)
Much appreciated. :)
Funnily enough, most of my presents were associated with
elephants! haha.
I got a wonderful
birthday cake too! It wasn't even edible. :P
It was made out of
tower blocks! Thank you so much fellow Mandirin friends. ;)
I'm flying tonight so I guess I'll see you in
two weeks. :)
Its
6 hours behind there. :S I hope I won't get too jet lagged.
Bye for now. :)
Bye bye

Most of the form threes didn't come to school today. Only the prefects were suppose to come for duty. Report Card Day. sigh. My legs are like
jelly now. :S
Anyway, I ended the day by playing Monopoly Deal with Joanne and Carmen. Carmen was new at it so Mit helped her. This lessened my chance of winning. boo. :) Joanne won both rounds... with the help of numerous 'Just Say Nos!'. Someone's bad at shuffling. :P I won her twice when I first learnt how to play the other day (yesterday) though. hehehe. Beginner's luck. ;)
On Wednesday, hardly anyone turned up. Only four from Cempaka including me! I ended up
doodling monsters....

I basically googled, copied and modified. And some were just from my head. :P I like the
one-eyed monster on the upper right. :)

This was done over a few days. :P I just took out my book when I was bored... yeah.
Unfinished. Will continue when I'm bored again. :)

I can't seem to remember when I actually did this one. Oh well. :P Its way too
busy for my liking anyway. :P
It was also
Shu's last day - wednesday. :( She and Andy celebrated by doing
the chicken dance. haha.
Sigh.
Hello
holidays. :)

It's the last week of school already! Everything is moving way too
fast for me. :S
Mhmm. Lots have been going on even though
PMR is over. Its finally coming to
an end. sigh.
I finished Disturbia with Mandy today. It was... spooky. Well, I thought so anyway. haha. If you saw us watching it, you probably would've laughed out loud. While I was covering my eyes with my hands and gasping/shrieking every now and then, Mandy was staring intently at the screen while saying, "Die, die, die!". I was somewhat freaked out. :P
I've also been watching...
The Big Bang Theory! This series is hilariously cute. :) Go watch it!
Cempaka's Got Talent was a huge success. Kudos to all the organisers!. :)
Anyway, I've got to start packing. After folding the clothes of course. Somehow, I have grown accustom to
household chores. :S

Sheldon: Aha, the thing about tomatoes, I think you will really enjoy this, is that they are shelved with the vegetables but they are technically a fruit. Penny: Interesting. Sheldon: Isnt it! Penny: No, I mean what you find enjoyable. Leonard: For God's sake, Sheldon, do I have to hold up a sarcasm sign every time I open my mouth? Sheldon (intrigued): You have a sarcasm sign? Sheldon: Oh Mario ... if only I could control everyone the way I control you ... HOP! YOU LITTLE PLUMBER! HOP! HOP! HOP!

My hamstrings and thigh muscles are
aching like crazy. :(
Even when I sit, it hurts. Imagine how painful it must have been to walk up the stairs. :S
I literally danced the whole day today.
Started off the day with a hearty meal -
bacon and
avocado sandwich for breakfast. :)
The bus ride there was about an hour long. Slept the whole way... zzz.
CILC is humongous! I didn't get a grand tour of the place but from what I saw, its
H.U.G.E :P
Construction was still going on though.

Before we did the workshops, a guy from WWF (World Wife Fund for Nature, no longer World Wildlife Fund), En Lawal talked about the endangered species in Malaysia; primarily the tigers and rhinos. I found it rather interesting and am now considering of becoming a wildlife scientist in the future. HAHA. :) Then, Datin and her sister-in-law talked about herbs and nasi kerabu. :P
The workshop I went to was Ellya's workshop. Jazz & Contemporary Dance. :) It was cool. We learnt a dance routine. It was super fast and there was a lot of floor work. :/ Anyway, we performed for everyone after that. I messed up quite a bit. whoops... :P
We celebrated a CILC girl's birthday there too.
Happy 14th birthday Jane! :) The chocolate cake was yummy. ;)

Once I got home it was 5:44pm. I had to rush for ballet. :S Intermediate is getting harder and harder. Everything has to be 90 degrees high and I'm no where near there. :P Told you I'm super unflexible. :S
Anyway, I'm enervated. Night. :)

Form Three's Mini Games Carnival was today.
The
sun was scorching
hot. :S That's probably why everyone was in a
grumpy mood. The boys were using the girls as shade.
I know, it should be the other way around. Puteri (or should I say putera?) lilin. pfft. :P Anyway, we brushed away our concerns of becoming
burnt and did it because you know, the teachers put in all that effort. :)
The obstacle race was fine. :) The flour part was a bit of hassle for me though. It got all over my face... My nose, my lips, my cheeks, my eyebrows. :S It tasted... starchy. :P Carmen was my partner in the tie-the-legs obstacle. (Sorry... I have no idea what these obstacles are called. I'm just randomly naming them. :P) The ball-in-between-the-legs (haha) obstacle was the funniest. I was very slow. I had to take extra small steps whereas the others were hopping. ah well. I was laughing the whole way there. And there were Cempakans cheering me on. :)
The water balloon thingy. :D I got splashed. I'm not a very good catcher or thrower. Good thing Daniel L was in front of me and Gao Jye was behind. Before that, Carmen was in front of me... and that didn't really go very well. :P I got better towards the end though!
Anyway, Cempaka won both obstacle race and the water balloon thing even though we had the most number of people. wooh!

The YJC design meeting today was fun fun fun. I was slightly off though... :/
Louis is interesting. :P He swears a lot. But I have managed to solve that problem by "tut-ing". ;) Ji Lian joined in after that. haha. I'm going to have to read the Photoshop CS3 tutorial soon. Really looking forward to that...

Oh. And I cut my hair. It's much shorter. :)

I hope I can stay up till
11:11pm tonight!
I'm getting
sick. ergh. :( I had a two hour nap just now so I might last...
We watched
Glee in school today. Like the whole school watched it in the hall! :D
We only got to watch 20 minutes of the
first episode though. And it kept tripping which was a little annoying. :P Hopefully we can continue it another day in better quality. :)

The
Sesame Street Google everybody's been talking about.
I like the Big Bird
Google! Probably cause it's
yellow and it has
nice legs. :P
And I like
Oscar's too, of course. :)
|| I have to choose eventually but I can't decide right now.

Somehow, every Sunday, grandma's
bee hoon isn't sufficient enough for my tummy. :P So yesterday, I microwaved the Decanter scones that mum had brought back and lathered them with
jam,
butter and
cream.
The new jar of jam caused me quite a bit of trouble. :S The cover was capped on so tightly that I had to run
hot water over the cover and pat it a few times. In the end, dad's strength did the trick. :)

One scone got a bit
burnt in the middle. :P But oh well,
nobody's perfect right? hehe.

I've got Fen's hard drive with me!
I think I have 6 new series to watch and over 20 movies. Wooh! :) Don't worry. I'm not going to become an idiot and glue myself to the computer. haha. I'm going to spread everything out nicely. Yeah. :P
Speaking of movies, I watched Disturbia with Mandy today. Well, part of it. We didn't get to finish it. I want to though... So far, its pretty good. :) The creepy old dude scared the heck out of me. I screamed and ended up scaring Mandy too. hahaha.
Oh yeah. Like my new blogskin? :) Its very very very different from the last one. I decided to have a change. Something more simple. I'll stick to this for now. :)
